About Coventry Patmoor
In the early years of their high school career three individuals strove for something beyond the bottom ring of the public holding pen. Mark Brandt met Mike Zill for the first time when they were two. Neither of them remembers this but have been told it happened. Fourteen years later while in their sophomore year, they found a common ground that led fast to a strong friendship: Music. They struggled to throw together a group and write some original material. They lacked in the Rhythm section however and soon began arguing on whom was playing in time with whom. They reached an agreement and decided to kidnap one of their close friends of which they had in common. After several tries and many valiant stands by David Adams he eventually gave in to peer pressure, as they all do, and they began to play around as a three piece show, "ASTERIX”, AKA: "The No-Bass Wonder". While the band progressed in talent they knew that eventually a time would come in which they would have to travel their separate ways. August, 2003, Mark left the band and began his college education. Dave and Mike had also begun a college education but they were a bit closer to home. A decision was made to keep playing together, and so with many hours of recruiting and a few non fulfilled bribes they scrapped together three more members and began to write once again. Ty Marquez, Adam Simmons, and Matt Gadeken, all with their own unique talents and abilities, joined the two former members of Asterix to form "The Oxford Vandals". With the biggest success they've had the five continued to go until one fateful day: Mike announced he was leaving the band for an out of state experience. The other four members in shock decided it was best to put the past behind and move on from TOV. Dave alone and devastated took up dating once again and soon put the music scene in the back of his mind. A year and a half had passed and Mike returned home after experiencing many bands of all Genres and Styles such as Better than London, DKC, and Mike and the Machine. He looked up his former band mate and they came together using their new found knowledge and appreciation to form a new project: "COVENTRY PATMOOR". Listen and enjoy, were here to change the world.
