Courtland Pickett - also known as Court Pickett - is an American Roots Rock singer born on 3 February 1950 - Athens, GA, USA. He had moderate success in the early 70s as a solo artist and as member of Rubber Band and Sailcat. From the album Motorcycle Mama with Sailcat he scored just one big hit with the title track Motorcycle Mama. That album and his début were both released through Elektra Records and produced by a young and unknown musician / composer / producer called Peter Carr who would get to work with the The Allman Brothers Band and Paul Simon to name but a few. As a solo artist he released just one album Fancy Dancer with one single called You Don't Grow Old. He's also co-written a track with Pete Carr for the album When A Man Loves A Woman by Percy Sledge called Make It Good And Make It Last.
