Constantine Orbelian is an American conductor and pianist. Orbelian was born in San Francisco in 1956 to an Armenian father and an Ukrainian mother. Orbelian has been the musical director of the Moscow Chamber Orchestra since 1991, the first American ever to hold such a position in Russia.
