About Cave States
Cave States is Chris Grabau and Danny Kathriner with Todd Schnitzer, John Higgins, and John Horton. Cave States debut record, The Great Divide will be released in the Fall 2013. About Grabau and Kathriner Both Grabau and Kathriner have a long history of playing music in and around St. Louis, Missouri. Each have led bands or have supported other artists in other projects. Danny Kathriner’s band Half Knots, released their 4th record “Proof” in early 2013. Danny also led the seminal alt-country band, Wagon and is currently the drummer for both Colonel Ford and Magnolia Summer. Grabau’s most current project, Magnolia Summer, is planning to release their 4th record on Undertow in January 2014. In addition to his songwriting pursuits, Chris is often seen playing lead guitar for several St. Louis-based bands including Half Knots, Finn’s Motel, and Waterloo.
