About Cady Finlayson

Spirited Irish fiddle with a global twist, Cady's music blends traditional Irish tunes with worldbeat rhythms and American Folk melodies. Her playing has been described as "highly melodic" (Dirty Linen Magazine), "gorgeous fiddle playing" (Celtic MP3s Magazine) and "one of America's top Celtic fiddlers" (New Age Voice Magazine). Based in New York City, Cady Finlayson has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Jacob Javits Center, Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Blackstone Valley Celtic Festival, The East Providence Heritage Festival and Crossroads Belleuve (WA). She performs both with her full band (Cady Finlayson Band) and as a fiddle-guitar duo with French guitarist Vita Tanga (Cady Finlayson & Vita Tanga). Originally from Seattle, WA, Cady Finlayson came to New York City to go to music school. She fell in love with Irish music, studied in Ireland, and has been playing it every since.
