Cornea is a power trio from Padua, Italy, devoted to hypnotic soundscapes, heavy and decaying yet dreamlike and introspective. The creative flux of this band flows without schemes or cliches, simply guided by their imagination. The main aim of the band is to show with music what can’t be seen trough the eyes. The six songs that make up their debut album “Apart” are the offspring of a long gestation, ended with the solidification of the line up, synthesising and picturing the artistic course of a band in constant evolution. Coming from previous acts such as The Owl of Minerva and Dotzauer, the band is gravitating towards their own sonic territory, mixing shoegaze guitars drenched in reverb with the heaviness and slow pace typical of the doom metal genre. Cornea are: Nicola Mel - Guitars, Andrea Greggio - Drums, Sebastiano Pozzobon - Bass Guitar.
