About Butter Days

For one glorious year, Butter Days was a Providence, Rhode Island indie-rock, folk-pop powerhouse spearheading the Frock (Friend Rock) movement. Their music is at once feel-good and heartsick, weary and exuberant. From an idea that began during a summer thunderstorm in 2005, from a name that originated at a faux-French brunch locale, from a duo that joined for a mid-summer house show, Butter Days swelled to a peak as a 10 person collective. After playing shows around New England through 2007 and 2008, the band released "The Habit Of Making Up" (available at myspace.com/butterdays) in April of 2008 before taking an indefinite hiatus.
