About Bubblegum Psycho
Bubblegum Psycho pseudonym of Dutch, Amsterdam-based songwriter, musician and vocalist, Victor Meijer, a notorious late bloomer if ever there was one. He gained prominence as an illustrator at age 46. A few years later even (as a fifty-something) he made his debut as a musician. Released on Concerto Records in late 2025, Bubblegum Psycho is his debut LP. It was preceded by the single 'Lovestruck'. Recorded by Diederik Nomden (who also shines as a multi-instrumentalist on the album), the music of Bubblegum Psycho is inspired by Crosby Stills Nash & Young, The Beatles, Big Star, Teenage Fanclub, Johan and others.
