About Blind Lemsip Jefferson
Blind Lemsip Jefferson is a blues musician claiming to have been born near the dawn of the 20th century. Residing in Tauranga, New Zealand (in the region of the Wairoa River), he calls his style of music 'delta fuck yous'. After purportedly recording 9 songs in 1928, he spent an 83 year period of musical inactivity in slavery, not realising the rest of his race had been emancipated. Facebook. 2012 saw the release of the compilation Let's Get This Apartheid Started, featuring the aforementioned recordings as well as new songs and re-recordings. He also collaborated with Sam Doodle, forming the Delta Hood Rap Connection.
