About Blackcatfish
BlackCatFish is a four piece grunge rock band from Wellington New Zealand Originally conceived in the UK, restless vocalist Marcus Ambler decided in 2006 to relocate to Wellington, New Zealand. Shortly afterwards Marcus teamed up with Guitarist Sean Anderson and, wasting no time, they began writing and performing as a duo in and around Wellington. With the addition of Marty Kent on Bass guitar and Drummer Murray James, this 4 piece Rock/Grunge/Punk outfit is creating adrenaline-fueled mosh pit mayhem on the live front. Mix Nirvana/Greenday and throw in some Queens of the Stoneage and you come close to the BlackCatFish sound. BlackCatFish are currently working on their first album, due for release later in the year.
