About Benjamin Alba

Benjamin Alba is a Brussels-based electronic composer shaping dream-trance with a cypher aesthetic: widescreen pads, luminous piano motifs, and tuned foley (bowed metal, carbon-fiber plucks, hydrophone ice-cracks, tape-warble harmonics) sculpted into club-ready architectures. A former chorister and pianist, he blends cinematic harmony with precise groove: decisive intros, euphoric supersaw lifts, and mono-safe low end engineered for large rooms. After a car accident left him deaf in one ear, he became obsessive about mono translation, every track is designed to hold up on a single earbud as much as on a wide stereo system. On Proof-of-Dream and related singles, Alba reimagines “proof-of-X” consensus as music-loops that resolve like blocks, arps that verify, textures that drift like aurora. His palette draws from ’90s dream-trance lineage and modern melodic techno/film scoring, but stays singular through bespoke tools and field-recorded sources. Based in Brussels, he writes, produces, and performs works that aim for clarity, emotion, and forward motion, music that breathes, glows, and carries you somewhere else.
