About At the Otherside
The band called At the Otherside was formed in 2010 in Minsk, Belarus by a group of people wanted to do some not common metal music. Guys were inspired for a long time by classic death metal bands and, from some period, by modern electronic, dance and industrial projects. These music directions made the main idea of the new band. Main genre was named as Aggressive Dance Metal. That means a will to mix aggressive nature of classic and industrial metal with dance (or even sometimes trance) electronics and percussion. At the same time music contains brutal vocals and melodic rythmic elecronic layer. Band name reflects that idea. Its` basis in a play of words and senses. The Otherside is some virtual place, generally nowhere, but it is always on the separate side of music and arts. So we are always there. Our lyrics are based on common topics like relations, love, sex, global problems, social problems etc. There is no any dedicated theme or specific word to say. Just overview of things going around. But spiced by futuristics, fantasies, brutality and little piece of black psychopatic humour. Global idea to dance :)
