About Arcus Magna

Hatem "Tim" Ghonaim, born July 21, 1997, in Cairo, Egypt, began his musical journey in 2015 under the alias a!tch, releasing eight mixtapes that laid the groundwork for his evolving sound. In 2019, he unveiled his first self-produced album, sakura 桜, on Bandcamp, followed by a prolific 2020 with the releases of H7, remembrance, and IX. In 2022, Tim rebranded as Arcus Magna, marking a new creative chapter with the hyper-techno, experimental Quanta. A stylistic shift emerged in 2023 with Nocturnal, a synth-heavy, 80s-inspired exploration of desire, rebellion, and hedonistic nightlife. Continuing to push emotional and sonic boundaries, Tim’s 2026 release, Corrosive Substance, delves into darker territory. Heavy and introspective, the album confronts themes of drug abuse, trauma, insecurities, and existential dread, offering a raw, unfiltered look into the more haunting aspects of humanity, life, and death.
