Alan Jeffery Thicke (born Alan Willis Jeffery; March 1, 1947) was a Canadian actor, singer, songwriter, and game and talk show host. He is best known for his role as Jason Seaver, the father on the ABC television series 'Growing Pains', and for being the father of singer-songwriter Robin Thicke. Alan Thicke also notably sang the tune "Thicke Of The Night".
