About Aimsterskitz0rz

Music / Visual Artist, Improviser, Wife, Catmom, Writer, Foodie, Nature-Lover. Aimee Naworal AKA the Artist known as AimsterSkitz0rz was exposed to Jazz, Blues, Motown R&B, Gospel, various forms of Pop-rock from the 60's and 70's, Showtunes, Bluegrass, and Classical through her parents. Through her own explorations, she got into Free Jazz, Punk, Hardcore, Metal, Industrial, Post Punk, No-Wave, Electronic, Goth, Krautrock, Prog-Rock, Avant-Garde, Experimental and other music from various cultures. She discovered at a young age that like her mother she possessed the ability to sing on key and the ability to find the harmony to any tune. As far as instruments were concerned she used to have one of those Casio keyboards widely available in the 1990's. She figured out pretty young that she had the natural ability to learn then play a song by ear. She never learned to read music or had any formal piano lessons. She originally wanted to play drums but was talked out of it and ended up taking Guitar lesson's while in High school. She discovered she could also tune it by ear. Later She was a lead singer in a few unknown and short-lived Punk bands. Fast Forward to 2017 the year of major life changes. She met Adam Naworal of Waste of Tape who was impressed with her knowledge and interest in much of the same music genres. They developed a friendship which quickly changed to something more. He made her aware that some of what she listened to fell into different categories she didn't know existed. She was also not aware that there was an Improvisation or Noise Scene in Florida that he was long involved with. She had known there was a lot of improvisation in Free Jazz, I just never realized people still got together with traditional and unusual instruments and improvised. So while she is an "n00b" to this particular scene she is not new to expressing herself musically. Most recently she and Adam formed the noisy gadgets improvisational group Tomokie's Cup and had their debut at Hal McGee's Apartment Music 29. She played a Korg littleBits Synth Kit and Stylophone Gen X-1 while Adam played the Electric Phin. She can't wait to have more opportunities to improvise as a solo Artist or within a group.
