About Adrian Thommas
Adrian Thommas originates from the untroubled Flagstaff, situated at the historical and famous Route 66 in Arizona, where his musical socialization between Southern Rock, Soul, Blues, Bar-Room Rock ́n ́Roll and L.A.-Hardrock took place. Thommas moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1982, where he made a name for himself in the local studio scene. From the mid-80s on he went to L.A. where he evolved to a studio shouter and backupper much in demand - his rough voice can be heard on various Hard & Heavy production of that time. With the downfall of the Californian Hard Rock, Thommas left Los Angeles and got to Hamburg/Germany in the mid-90s. He worked together with his buddy Mikel Allen (played for the Drifters, Robbie Neville, Grover Washington Jr., Titanic and many others) and as a musician and producer in various studio connections (e.g. Co-Producer for Lord Bishop Rocks and Kongo Skulls). In the beginning of the new millennium, Thommas’ debut album "Cross the River" was released and landed an astonishing success. The 'America-remake', "A Horse With No Name“ was released on various Biker compilations in Europe and the US (e.g. „Motor Mania Vol.1 & 2“, "Chrome & Thunder“ and the TV-show "Biker-Lifestyle-TV“ on German TV). Adrian Thommas wrote the title track "Happy Birthday, Harley-Davidson“ for the compilation of the same title on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the cult brand and was booked for huge German and international Biker events frequently. The Adrian Thommas Band returned to the stage in 2009 (e.g. „Harley Days“ in Berlin), for 2010/11 further live appearances are planned (Support-shows for Doc Holliday and Ghost Riders amongst others). The new line-up consists of (ex-) musicians from MAN, Kingdom Come, Pat Savage Band, Achim Reichel Band, Kickhunter and various others.
