A Week In July was born in the summer of 2000 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when five good friends came together because they all enjoyed playing music. The band's sound can be described as aggressive power pop incorporating indie rock and slight post-hardcore sensibilities. One of Pittsburgh's better known bands, AWIJ signed with Orange Peal Records in the winter of 2002. AWIJ takes pride in their energetic and ultra tight live performances, gaining new fans everywhere they play.
