About A Bit Much

A bit Much is Degan (vocals, guitar), Abram Taber (bass, vocals) and Jon Glancy (drums, vocals). Former members include Matt Lillis (bass, vocals) and Tim Lillis (keyboard, vocals). The band formed in 2008 in Boston, MA. Their first EP, Recompositions: A Life and Death Struggle Between an Individual and a Less Specifically Defined Entity, was released on April 10, 2009. A bit Much combine elements of rock, prog, jazz, pop and more into their sound, with equal gestures towards sincerity and satire. The band's second release, You Deserve It, was recorded by Jon Taft at New Alliance Audio in Cambridge, MA in late December 2009. It is the first release to feature Tim Lillis on keyboards and vocals. The album was released digitally in February 2010 and on CD in April 2010. A bit Much began releasing a series of singles in 2011. Each single is based on a theme related to the song topics and date of release. The first single in the series is entitled Valentine's Day 2011 and features the songs "(All I Want Is) George Harrison's Wife" b/w "My Marriage to Michael Stipe." This was the last recording done with both Matt and Tim Lillis. The second single, Jon's Birthday #30, was released in June 2011 and features the songs "You're Too Old" b/w "You're Just A Baby, Darlin'." Their next single, Labor Day 2011 (to be released in September 2011), will feature the songs "Domesticated" b/w "I Don't Want To Be A Housewife (For Someone Else's Family)." Future singles include All Saint's Day 2011 and Boxing Day 2011. A bit Much has also augmented its recordings with contributions from additional musicians, including Mike Tucker (drummer of The Big Big Bucks), Seth Bailin (saxophones, formerly of The Sinbusters and Goosepimp Orchestra), Bryan Murphy (trumpet, of The Shills, Ketman and Trabants), Frank Casados (bassoon), Jeff Palermo (trombone), Susan Putnins (ukulele, of The Sinister Turns), Morgan Evans-Weiler (violin), Beth Holub (viola, of Eksi Ekso) and Cherry Kim (cello).
