About The Tuesdays
There is more than one band named The Tuesdays: 1) A short-lived but enjoyable group from Norway who balanced indie-style guitar pop hooks with commercial gloss. 2) A former pop-rock band (with some jazz/blues) from Auckland, New Zealand. Chantel McCarten (vocals/guitar) and Maria Griffith (bass) had been playing and songwriting together for six years, four of those with the Auckland girl band Babinski, which they formed while still at school. As of 2007 the Tuesdays band split.
